Encountering a snag? We're here to help. Here are some of the most common questions and issues users face, along with steps to resolve them quickly.
1. "My subscription status isn't updating after purchase."
Sometimes, there can be a brief delay between your successful payment with Stripe and the status updating within your Lurk account.
- Solution: Go to your account menu and click "Manage Subscription." In the modal that appears, click the Refresh button (the circular arrow icon). This will manually fetch the latest status from our billing system. If your plan still doesn't appear correctly after a few minutes, please contact support.
2. "I'm not getting any results in my Lurk Feed."
If your Hub feed is empty, here are a few things to check:
- Is Your Lurk Active? Go to the "Your Lurks" panel. Ensure the lurk you're expecting results from has an "active" status badge. If it's "paused," hover over it and click the Play icon to resume it.
- Are Your Search Terms Too Specific? Highly niche or restrictive keywords may not generate frequent results. Try editing your lurk to broaden your search terms. For example, instead of
"breakthrough in AI-powered quantum computing", you could try "AI news" and "quantum computing".
- Is it a New Lurk? After you create a new lurk, it can take some time for our system to perform the first operation and find relevant content. Please allow some time for the initial results to appear.
3. "I've gone over my monthly operations limit. What happens now?"
Don't worry, your service will not be interrupted. Our plans are designed with flexibility in mind.
- Pay-As-You-Go: If you exceed your monthly allowance (e.g., 50 for Standard, 200 for Plus), any additional operations are billed at a rate of $0.09 each. This charge will be automatically added to your next monthly bill.
- Upgrade for Better Value: If you find yourself consistently going over your limit, it's usually more cost-effective to upgrade to the next plan tier. You can do this from the "View Pricing" page.
4. "I'm having trouble logging in or need to reset my password."
All account and security management is handled through our trusted partner, Clerk.
- Solution: If you've forgotten your password, use the "Forgot Password?" link on the sign-in page. To change your email, password, or manage multi-factor authentication, click on your profile icon in the Lurk dashboard and select "Manage Account" to access your secure Clerk portal.
5. "Why can't I select platforms like Instagram or Reddit?"
Lurk is currently in its early stages, and our initial focus is on providing a best-in-class experience for X/Twitter.
- Coming Soon: As you can see in the lurk creation form, platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and Reddit are marked as "Coming Soon." We are actively working on integrating them, and they will become available in future updates. Keep an eye on our announcements!
